A first in the field (history) of interior modifications. A customer was looking for a solution to take on two additional passengers in a Scania R-series with a Daycab (CR17N). A question that we kept getting more and more often. That is why we decided to take on the challenge.
The result
A neat interior modification where two extra seating places are created. To achieve this, we mounted a customised ESTEPE bench, which is finished with original Scania upholstery to retain the ex-factory look & feel. Moreover, the storage compartments remain accessible from the inside and outside.
The rear wall of the cabin is reinforced in order to guarantee the safety of the passengers and to get the vehicle approved. Subsequently, the additional two-point safety belts are attached. The mounted back support ensures that the passengers can enjoy a comfortable ride.
In addition, a chequered plate was chosen for the cabin floor to provide a finishing touch. An ideal option in combination with the extra seating places; making the floor wear-resistant, easy to clean and offering a better grip.
