After a preparatory period of one year, ESTEPE has been using Isah Business Software since the beginning of this year. With the transition to Isah, ESTEPE has taken the step to work according to a ‘paperless office’.
The previous ERP system was coming to an end and had to be replaced because the business processes were not sufficiently supported. In addition, a starting point was that there would be an interactive data exchange between the CAD and PDM application and the ERP system. Other wishes for the new ERP system were a visually supporting production planning module and the digital availability of time registration, processing steps, instructions and checklists to mechanics.
The digital availability of all necessities for the mechanics in the workshop takes place by means of paperless production. The technicians each started using their own tablet. On these tablets, the mechanics will find all necessary information, work instructions and drawings that they need when working on vehicles.
The other departments within ESTEPE have also been able to make an efficiency and quality improvement with the switch to Isah. For example, purchase proposals and bills of materials are now automatically created. This gives the process engineering department more time to focus on process improvements, quality improvements, cost price improvements and safety.
